Shane's Creations is a family owned small business located in Abilene,Tx. My name is Shane McCoy and I am the owner and craftsmen for this business. I am an educator by trade but a wood worker by heart. I have been doing woodworking for over 30 years. I own my own mill so I start almost all of my projects from the original tree to the finished product. I can customize most orders depending on size with a laser or CNC router. I use mostly Texas woods such as mesquite, pecan, cedar, walnut, and ash.

Cutting Boards

I make both natural slab cutting boards and laminated cutting boards from different species of wood. Most of my cutting boards are made of texas woods with some exotic woods thrown in every once in a while. I finish both sides of my boards so that you can use either side for show or use. I can customize or personalize most of the boards. I use epoxy resin with color to fill voids and wormholes in the wood. I have the availability to put real turquoise in them also. All of my boards are finished with a mixture of mineral oil and beeswax that I make myself.
